A long standing engagement in the UK the following weekend meant that we were up early, packed and on the road at lunchtime for a meal at the Brasserie de Bellefois whilst en-route to Poitiers. Situated in Neuville-de-Poitou this small craft brewer has an on-site restaurant, we visited on Mayday, being a public holiday the restaurant was packed.
Our reviews of restaurants we have visited
We discovered this charming little eatery on one of our lunchtime visits to Poitiers. The restaurant is conveniently found nearby to the Carnot carpark, in the centre of Poitiers.
We were exploring the area, trying to locate a windmill which had a restaurant nearby that had been recommended to us. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find the windmill – until after we had eaten here – so missed out on what I would assume was a much better meal!!
This is a Tunisian restaurant in the heart of Parthenay. We arrived around 8.30pm and managed to get the last table without a reservation. A few other groups of people were turned away during the night. The whole place was bustling and had a vibrancy about it.
This restaurant, in the centre of Nantes, is on a street full of creperies. I wasn’t really in the mood for crepes, so when we spotted this little eatery we took the plunge.
After a busy morning shopping in Ikea we decided, before heading off home, that we would have lunch in the Atlantis centre. There is a small choice of restaurants from bistro, creperie, pizza or chinese.
We opted for the chinese.
We have decided to create a new category on our blog – Restaurant Reviews.
This category will contain our reviews of restaurants we have visited in the locale. There will be 5 specific areas which we will score out of 10, resulting in a total amount out of 50.
The points will be allocated thus :-
1 – Ambiance – Location of the restaurant, facilities, decor and seating comfort.
2 – Food/Wine Selection – a brief outline of what type of food and wine was on offer.
3 – Food Presentation – how well the food was cooked, how it was presented, overall taste.
4 – Staff – Friendliness and attentiveness of all the staff.
5 – Price – Value for money, would we go back or recommend to others.
These will be our own opinions from our own visits.
