After a busy morning shopping in Ikea we decided, before heading off home, that we would have lunch in the Atlantis centre. There is a small choice of restaurants from bistro, creperie, pizza or chinese.
We opted for the chinese.
Ambience – 3
The restaurant is in a row of all the available eateries for the mall. Some of the tables are inside and others along the walkway. It is decorated with chinese lanterns and the usual acoutrements. The chairs are fairly comfortable although the tables are squeezed closely together to maximise numbers of diners.
Food/Wine Selection – 3
The a la carte menu is fairly boring, with no unusual or interesting choices. The set menus are very limited – for 13.50 you got a starter, main and desert.
Food Presentation – 2
We ordered set meals of starter, main and desert. The meals took a while to arrive and were not particularly hot. They were bland and not very good at all. My starter of steamed dim sum seems to have been the highlight of both our meals.
Staff – 3
There didn’t seem to be enough staff for the amount of diners. They were all running around looking flustered.
Price – 2
Even though the meal was cheap, total price with 2 beers was 33.00 euros, it was unremarkable, tasteless and luke warm. I can say without doubt that we will not be going back or recommending it to our family.
